ADOR offers Helix Dumper (HD), a flexible wagon and unloading system designed explicitly for fine-grained and sticky bulk materials. The system is unparalleled, with a 25,000 tonnes/hour discharge rate. The Helix Dumper (HD) is a versatile system suitable for rock, pellets, and concentrate. The rounded shape of the body creates optimal conditions for the efficient discharge of even the most tough-flowing and sticky concentrate materials unsuitable for bottom release.

Helix Dumpers are currently the most productive technology for unloading fine-grained bulk goods at high discharge rates. Comparatively, bottom dumper systems operate quickly but can't handle sticky materials. Helix Dumpers have rolling discharges, which are much faster and more efficient than rotating car dumpers.

Helix Dumper wagon's simple and effective design

The principle behind the unloading technology is simple but ingenious: When the Helix Dumper enters the unloading area, a wheel at the top of the wagon makes contact with the spiral-shaped rigid guide that constitutes the unloading station. As the wheel travels along the directory's path, the chassis remains on the rails while the wagon's body is rotated 148 degrees to dump its load. Helix Dumper offered an entirely new technology for unloading fine-grained minerals.

Low-cost unloading station: No moving parts – no electricity

The locomotive’s forward motion powers the Helix Dumper’s discharge process – the unloading station has no moving or motorized parts and requires no additional power supply. ADORTech delivers both the wagons and the unloading system, a robust and low-cost solution requiring minimal maintenance.

If production increases, one or more additional unloading stations can easily be added. The Helix Dumper unloading station requires a smaller initial investment than rotary car dumpers because it has a limited construction depth and no electric motors.
