Upgrading of the Lac L’Heureux Dam
Located near Saint Colomban, Quebec, Lac L’Heureux Dam operates as a water control structure that regulates water levels. However, there were various challenges associated with this dam, including floating debris and potential hazards to users of kayaks and small vessels. This is why ADOR came in to address this problem with a solution.
To provide a safe zone at Lac L’Heureux Dam, we offer our Canoe Booms, designed and manufactured by our partner, Ecocoast. The requested safety boom should have included high durability for permanent installation and have been efficient in preventing debris from accumulating near the dam infrastructure. Moreover, it should have been mentioned that there might be large floating ice in the winters, and the offered safety boom should have been designed to be resistant in such situations.
As a solution regarding the project’s specifications, the CAB-400 is provided to prevent water users and small vessels at Lac L’Heureux Dam from passing through, meeting the client’s eco-friendliness requirements, such as debris control. The anchoring system we offer, on the other hand, is designed to further enhance the performance and durability of our CAB-400.
